Associate - Data Administration

Role Overview BNP Paribas India Solutions is looking for an Associate in Data Administration to join its Fund Services team in Chennai. In this entry-level role, you will support the Fund Administration function by setting up security details in accounting platforms, pricing securities using dedicated pricing tools, and processing corporate actions based on vendor inputs to enable accurate NAV calculations for global funds across APAC, UK, and EMEA regions. You will collaborate closely with team members, manage high volumes of activity, and contribute to continuous process improvement in a dynamic, globally connected environment. Key Responsibilities - Update prevailing security prices across multiple applications to help fund accountants determine accurate market values as part of NAV and GAV calculations - Set up and maintain reference data for various financial instruments across accounting platforms supporting APAC, EMEA, and UK regions - Process dividend and corporate action events using inputs from multiple vendor sources to enable fund accounting teams to record income and events accurately in client portfolios - Manage index, benchmark, and fund setup in B-One and Cispeo systems, and monitor fund and index data acquisition from vendors to ensure timely delivery as per agreed SLAs - Provide L1, L2, and L3 services to IADS clients and perform daily, weekly, and monthly controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of processing - Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute best practices, and support ad-hoc projects and new initiatives - Maintain and regularly update standard operating procedures to reflect current processes Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in BBA, B.Com, M.Com, MBA, or an equivalent discipline - Basic understanding of capital markets and investment banking concepts - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel - Familiarity with financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Reuters is an advantage - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a client-focused mindset - Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences - Willingness to work in rotational shifts to support global operations - Certification in Investment Banking or Capital Markets is an added advantage Why Join Us BNP Paribas is the European Union's leading bank, operating across 65 countries with nearly 185,000 employees worldwide, and its India Solutions arm provides a truly global platform for career growth. - Graduates or postgraduates in BBA, B.Com, M.Com, or MBA - Basic knowledge of capital markets and investment banking - Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office tools - Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or Reuters platforms - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - High attention to detail and accuracy - Good verbal and written communication skills - Ability to manage high volumes of work and prioritize tasks - Willingness to work in rotational shifts - Team player with a collaborative and client-focused attitude - Investment Banking or Capital Markets certification is a plus
