Associate - Data Administration

Role Overview BNP Paribas India Solutions is hiring an Associate for its Data Administration team under the IFSO business line in Chennai. In this entry-level full-time role, you will be responsible for setting up security reference data in accounting platforms, pricing securities using dedicated pricing tools, and processing corporate actions based on vendor inputs to support the Fund Administration team in calculating Net Asset Values (NAVs) for funds. You will work collaboratively with team members, manage high volumes of activity with accuracy, and contribute to continuous process improvement in a global banking environment. Key Responsibilities - Update prevailing prices of securities across accounting platforms to support fund valuation including NAV and GAV calculations for clients across APAC, UK, and EMEA regions - Set up reference data for various financial instruments in respective accounting platforms for multiple regions - Process dividend and corporate action events using inputs from multiple vendor sources to enable fund accounting teams to record income and portfolio events accurately - Manage index, benchmark, and fund setup in B-One and Cispeo platforms and monitor fund and index acquisition from vendors to ensure timely delivery to IADS as per agreed SLAs - Perform L1, L2, and L3 service functions for IADS clients - Execute daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and controls to ensure completeness of processing and prompt resolution of discrepancies - Participate in brainstorming sessions, share best practices, and contribute to ad-hoc projects and new initiatives - Continuously review and update procedures to keep them current and aligned with process improvements Required Qualifications - Graduate or postgraduate degree in BBA, B.Com, M.Com, or MBA - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel - Basic understanding of capital markets and investment banking concepts - Familiarity with financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Reuters is an advantage - Certification in investment banking or capital markets is an added advantage - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills - Willingness and flexibility to work in any shift as required - Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage high volumes of work under pressure Why Join Us BNP Paribas is the European Union's leading bank operating across 65 countries with nearly 185,000 employees worldwide, and BNP Paribas India Solutions is a dynamic 24x7 global delivery center with over 10,000 employees across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai.
