Assistant Manager - Fund Accounting

Role Overview BNP Paribas India Solutions is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join its Fund Accounting team in Chennai. This is an individual contributor role within the ISO department, focused on the daily production and quality review of Net Asset Values for a range of mutual funds and investment structures. The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert who can ensure timely, accurate, and fully compliant NAV delivery in line with established SLAs. Key Responsibilities - Oversee the complete NAV life cycle including calculation, review, and timely delivery of NAV packs across diverse fund types and instrument categories - Act as a Checker to validate all reconciliation breaks in TA, Cash, and Stock for each calculated NAV and ensure 100 percent accuracy - Prepare, maintain, and regularly update Key and Standard Operating Procedures for all assigned processes - Monitor group mailboxes, respond to client and spoke queries promptly, and escalate critical issues to AVPs proactively - Enforce full ISAE 3402 compliance through daily sample testing and thorough documentation of findings in the incident tracker - Identify manual process steps and inefficiencies, propose practical automation ideas, and contribute to continuous process improvement - Support team development by identifying training needs for maker-level staff and ensuring adequate backup coverage during absences - Participate in daily huddles, weekly team meetings, and CSR and engagement initiatives Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or an equivalent discipline - Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Fund Accounting with strong NAV calculation expertise - In-depth knowledge of fund accounting concepts such as Unit Pricing, Incentive and Performance Fees, Swing Pricing, Hedging, and varied fund structures - Proficiency with systems like Multifonds, HI-Portfolio, and Bloomberg along with advanced Microsoft Office skills - Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines - Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at individual and group levels - Exposure to AI tools for productivity enhancement is an added advantage Why Join Us BNP Paribas is the European Union's leading bank operating across 65 countries with nearly 185,000 employees worldwide, offering a stable, growth-oriented, and inclusive work environment.
