Analytical Engineer - HyperMesh and CAD Meshing

Role Overview Actalent is looking for a skilled Analytical Engineer to join its Chennai delivery centre and contribute to high-quality meshing and CAD analysis projects. This role is ideal for engineering professionals with strong HyperMesh expertise who can work on sheet metal, plastic trims, and powertrain components while meeting safety standards and project deadlines. You will be part of a large, cross-functional engineering team and play a key role in delivering precise, analysis-ready mesh models for global clients across industries such as transportation and consumer products. Key Responsibilities - Create high-quality mesh models for sheet metal, plastic trims, casting assemblies, and powertrain components in line with safety standards and project specifications - Study and assess CAD models, identify quality issues, and perform thorough CAD cleanup to ensure data accuracy - Carry out variable thickness measurement and assignment to ensure accurate component representation within meshing workflows - Review complete assemblies to detect and resolve penetrations and intersections, delivering clean and analysis-ready models - Work independently to manage, refine, and deliver assemblies while maintaining accountability for quality and timelines - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and solutions - Adapt quickly to established processes and embrace new tools or standards as project requirements evolve Required Qualifications - Strong hands-on knowledge of HyperMesh for meshing and model preparation - Proficiency in CAD quality assessment, issue identification, and CAD cleanup processes - Demonstrated experience in meshing sheet metal, plastic trims, and casting components as per safety guidelines - Ability to perform variable thickness measurement and assignment within CAD and meshing workflows - Capability to identify and clear penetrations and intersections in complex assemblies with minimal supervision - Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working within large engineering teams - Quick-learning attitude with willingness to adopt new tools, best practices, and project methodologies Why Join Us Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services with over 40 years of experience helping visionary companies achieve their goals, and its Chennai delivery centre is a hub of world-class mechanical engineering talent.
