Analysis Engineer - NVH and Structural CAE

Role Overview Actalent is hiring an Analysis Engineer to join its Chennai delivery centre, focused on automotive CAE work in the areas of NVH and structural performance. You will build and validate complex automotive assembly models using industry-standard tools, supporting product development for global clients across the transportation sector. Key Responsibilities - Develop detailed automotive assembly models for trim body and powertrain applications, including all required connections for simulation and analysis - Build and maintain system models covering key subsystems such as BIW, closures, instrument panel, console, seating, engine, exhaust, driveline, and transmission - Perform modal analysis using Nastran and Optistruct, including solution types SOL 103 and SOL 111, ensuring all models are stable, consistent, and fully runnable - Debug complex CAE models to identify and resolve issues, delivering production-ready outputs with clear documentation - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to interpret results, support design decisions, and communicate technical insights to stakeholders Required Qualifications - Proven experience in building automotive assemblies including trim body and powertrain - Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling with expertise in managing model connections - Hands-on experience with Hypermesh for pre-processing and ANSA for model preparation and management - Practical knowledge of Nastran and Optistruct solvers in an automotive NVH or structural analysis context - Good verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and cross-team collaboration - Familiarity with automotive engineering processes, product development cycles, and NVH methodologies Why Join Us Actalent offers a collaborative, inclusive work environment where engineering professionals are encouraged to grow, innovate, and make a meaningful impact across global automotive programmes.
