Job Description

Role Overview Barclays is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Analyst in Financial Control to join its Chennai team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across the organisation. You will work within a dynamic finance environment that values innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Manage the preparation and timely presentation of accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations - Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks and report findings to senior stakeholders - Develop and maintain a strong internal controls framework to safeguard organisational assets and prevent misreporting - Formulate and implement up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent practices across the organisation - Oversee the selection, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of financial systems and software, coordinating with IT teams for seamless integration - Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities and support other departments in their regulatory reporting obligations - Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations - Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive finance automation initiatives Required Qualifications - Qualified Accountant with CA, CMA, or ACCA certification - First-class honours bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution - Prior experience in month-end or quarter-end reporting, control environments, or finance automation is an advantage - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills Why Join Us Barclays offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment where your contributions directly shape the future of global finance. Requirements

- CA / CMA / ACCA qualification - First-class honours bachelor degree from a reputable institution - Experience in month-end or quarter-end financial reporting (preferred) - Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles - Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills - Ability to manage internal controls and risk mitigation - Experience with financial systems and software management
