Performance Insights Analyst

Role Overview Barclays is looking for a Performance Insights Analyst to join its Business Banking MI and Reporting Team at the Chennai office. In this role, you will design and maintain strategic dashboards, conduct deep-dive analysis for stakeholders and product owners, and support data-driven business decision-making. You will be responsible for ensuring reports are accurate and timely, tracking key performance metrics, and delivering actionable insights that improve processes and outcomes across the organisation. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain data architecture pipelines that enable the reliable transfer and processing of complete, consistent, and durable data - Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes that handle required data volumes and velocity while adhering to security standards - Develop processing and analysis algorithms suited to the intended data complexity and scale - Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models - Create and maintain strategic dashboards to support stakeholder and product owner decision-making - Track performance metrics and generate reports that provide actionable business insights - Manage risk and strengthen internal controls related to your work area - Escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately and support the embedding of new risk mitigation processes - Act as a key contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function and build a broader professional network Required Qualifications - Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, PySpark, or Python - Strong SQL knowledge and solid data analytical skills - Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI - In-depth technical knowledge in data engineering or a related area of expertise - Thorough understanding of underlying data principles and concepts - Ability to lead or guide team members and communicate complex information clearly - Demonstrated ability to make evaluative judgements based on factual data analysis - Familiarity with risk and controls, business acumen, and digital transformation practices Why Join Us At Barclays, you will be part of a globally respected financial institution that values innovation, integrity, and continuous growth.
