Role Overview
EY is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join its Finance and Accounting division in Bengaluru. This is a full-time permanent role suited for a finance professional with strong hands-on experience in end-to-end Order to Cash processes and a proven track record of leading AR teams. The ideal candidate will bring together technical accounting knowledge, ERP expertise, and people management skills to drive excellence in receivables operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the monthly AR close process, including reconciliation of the AR sub-ledger to the General Ledger
- Oversee monthly reconciliation of AR-related accounts such as unapplied cash, unclaimed credits, clearing, accrual, bad debt, chargebacks, withholding, and sales tax
- Investigate and resolve all cash and check discrepancies and ensure over-short differences are cleared in the system
- Conduct weekly and monthly governance calls with process owners to address and resolve issues requiring immediate attention
- Publish monthly Order to Cash dashboards to monitor SLA and KPI adherence across the O2C process
- Hire, train, and develop the AR team while fostering a high-performance and customer-centric team culture
- Document procedures, ensure compliance, and initiate best practice strategies and process improvements
- Manage staff workloads, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are consistently met across multiple projects
- Support new employee orientation and ensure all team members receive appropriate role-based training through annual training plans
- Drive employee engagement and motivation through performance appraisals, coaching, feedback, and career development initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce or MBA in Finance or a related discipline
- 4 to 10 years of experience in accounts receivable or Order to Cash processes
- At least 1 to 3 years of team leadership experience in a finance or shared services environment
- Prior experience in AR process transitions and working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadline pressure

Requirements
