Transportation Specialist - ATS Linehaul (TOC Operations)

Role Overview Amazon is looking for a Transportation Specialist to join its Transportation Operation Center (TOC), the central command and control hub managing freight movement across the Amazon Supply Chain network in India, NA, and EU. This role is responsible for ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of freight between vendors, fulfillment centers, and carrier hubs while proactively resolving exceptions and keeping all stakeholders informed. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with sound logistics knowledge to drive continuous improvements in network performance and customer experience. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate and communicate with external stakeholders including carriers, vendors, and suppliers as well as internal teams such as Retail, Finance, Software Support, and Fulfillment Centers - Monitor inbound and outbound transportation operations to ensure freight is picked up on time and delivered as per scheduled appointments - Pull and analyse data from multiple databases using tools such as Excel, Access, and SQL to generate ad hoc reports and performance insights - Identify trends in network exceptions and propose or implement process improvements to streamline operations - Understand business impact of data trends and make real-time decisions within tight time constraints to meet critical operational needs - Systematically escalate issues or data variances to the appropriate owners and follow through until resolution is confirmed - Prepare and present weekly narratives highlighting key findings and performance variances in operational review forums - Deliver real-time customer experience support in a 24x7 operating environment across rotational shifts Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics - Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly - Basic understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and freight management - Ability to analyse data, spot trends, and make data-driven decisions under time pressure - Experience with SQL or other database querying tools is an added advantage Why Join Us At Amazon, you will be part of an inclusive and fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact millions of customers across the globe.
