Transportation Specialist - ATS Linehaul

Role Overview Amazon is looking for a Transportation Specialist to join its Transportation Operation Center (TOC), the central command and control hub that manages transportation execution across Amazon's supply chain network covering India, North America, and the EU. This role is integral to ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of freight between vendors, fulfillment centers, and carrier hubs. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical thinking, clear communication skills, and a foundational understanding of logistics operations. Key Responsibilities - Serve as the primary point of contact between external stakeholders such as carriers and vendors and internal teams including retail, finance, and fulfillment centers - Monitor inbound and outbound transportation operations in real time and resolve any exceptions or disruptions that may impact delivery timelines or customer experience - Pull and analyse data from multiple databases using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Access to generate ad hoc reports and track performance metrics - Identify trends in network exceptions and propose process improvements or automation opportunities to streamline transportation operations - Escalate issues systematically to relevant teams and follow through until resolution is achieved - Prepare written narratives summarising weekly findings, variances against targets, and present these in operational review forums - Work effectively within tight time constraints in a 24x7 operational environment to meet critical business needs Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, or statistics - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly - Basic understanding of logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations - Ability to make sound, data-driven decisions quickly under time pressure Why Join Us At Amazon, you will be part of an inclusive, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact the customer experience at a global scale.
