Role Overview
Shell is looking for a driven Supply Chain Strategy and Optimization Analyst to join its Lubricants Americas Supply Chain Optimization and Projects team, based out of Bengaluru supporting North and South America operations. This is a high-impact role within Shell Global Lubricants, a business targeting accelerated growth with a 10 percent CAGR by 2025. You will work across a broad product portfolio spanning FMCG, key account-specific products, and specialty lubricants across B2B, B2C, indirect, and retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify pain points, constraints, and value leakage across sectors and lines of business and drive gap closure initiatives
- Support the Sales and Operations Planning process by ensuring end-to-end network capacity from raw materials through production to logistics
- Determine optimal customer and production sourcing by evaluating feasibility, capacity, cost, working capital, and customer satisfaction trade-offs
- Optimize supply chain footprint by identifying improvement opportunities including constraint resource optimization and economic order quantity analysis
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to rationalize product portfolios, reduce complexity, and improve overall Americas lubricants profitability
- Work with specific business sectors to define winning portfolios and associated metrics such as tail percentage, ROACE, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Develop outlets for slow-moving or tail products to minimize value loss
- Optimize product component costs and develop supply security options to support business goals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain optimization, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG environment
- Hands-on experience in inventory optimization, safety stock management, and inventory buffer strategies
- Prior experience managing the S&OP process and product portfolio oversight
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel, Power BI, Spotfire, or Alteryx
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Willingness to work during US Houston business hours with shift allowance provided as per India country norms

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 6 or more years of experience in supply chain optimization in manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG
- Expertise in inventory optimization, safety stock, and inventory buffer management
- Experience with S&OP process and product portfolio management
- Proficiency in Tableau, Excel, Power BI, Spotfire, or Alteryx
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Familiarity with SAP or other supply chain planning tools is an advantage
- Prior lubricants industry experience is an advantage
- Willingness to work US Houston business hours from India
