Job Description

Role Overview Expleo Group is looking for a skilled Supplier Quality Development Engineer with deep expertise in automotive plastic components including bumper systems, injection-molded parts, and painted components. This role is central to managing supplier quality assurance, driving process capability improvements, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards across the supply chain. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, purchasing, and program management teams to deliver high-quality components from development through production launch. Key Responsibilities - Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers producing injection-molded and painted plastic components - Conduct supplier process audits, capability assessments, and quality system evaluations - Lead supplier issue resolution using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and SPC - Review and approve PPAP submissions and Part Submission Warrants (PSW) - Support APQP activities for new product development and validate process readiness before production launch - Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies - Train and guide suppliers on automotive quality requirements, injection molding processes, surface finish quality, and painting process capability - Track supplier quality KPIs including PPM, defect rates, on-time delivery, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) - Ensure supplier compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA - Prepare management reports, supplier scorecards, and quality improvement presentations Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline - 8 to 10 years of supplier quality experience in automotive or manufacturing industries - Hands-on experience with automotive bumpers, injection-molded plastic parts, and painted plastic components - Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans - Proven experience in supplier development, quality improvement projects, and root cause analysis - Knowledge of IATF 16949 and broader automotive quality management systems - Experience with global suppliers and cross-functional team collaboration - Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an added advantage Why Join Us Expleo Group offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where engineering professionals can make a real impact on automotive supplier quality and product development. Requirements

- 8 to 10 years of supplier quality experience in automotive or manufacturing - Expertise in automotive bumpers, injection-molded parts, and painted plastic components - Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans - Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems - Strong root cause analysis skills using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis - Experience conducting supplier audits and capability assessments - Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies - Knowledge of advanced molding technologies such as multi-shot, gas-assisted, and sequential injection molding - Exposure to painted surface quality requirements and appearance standards - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or related field - Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
