Senior Quality Auditor - Artificial General Intelligence

Role Overview Amazon is looking for a Senior Quality Auditor to join its Machine Learning Data Operations team in Chennai. In this role, you will serve as the organisation's deepest subject matter expert on complex machine learning data workflows, leading Quality Audit Design teams and driving high-impact quality analysis. You will combine hands-on audit execution with strategic thinking to generate customer insights and enable continuous workflow optimisation. Key Responsibilities - Develop deep expertise in 1-2 assigned complex ML workflows through pilot participation and ongoing learning - Lead QuAD teams of 3-5 Quality Auditors for high-engagement support workflows and provide real-time quality decisions - Execute audits on the most ambiguous and complex scenarios while maintaining 60-70% hands-on audit activity - Generate workflow-specific thematic analysis and deep dives that go beyond convention adherence scores - Identify error patterns, evolving conventions, and ambiguity areas to deliver actionable workflow improvement recommendations - Partner with DSLs, customers, and Quality Specialists on cross-workflow patterns and audit strategy design - Mentor and coach Quality Auditor team members through structured feedback and knowledge sharing - Support new-tool onboarding for operationalised and bootstrapped interfaces Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ML data workflows or similar technical domains - Demonstrated experience in team leadership and mentoring - Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and effective stakeholder communication skills - Domain expertise in STEM, language, or technical fields is highly valued - Familiarity with audit methodologies, quality frameworks, and pilot phase participation Why Join Us Amazon offers an inclusive culture that empowers employees to deliver exceptional results at scale.
