Senior Firmware Engineer

Role Overview Logitech is looking for a talented Senior Firmware Engineer to join their Chennai team and contribute to the design and development of embedded software for HID products. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in microcontrollers, sensors, and real-time operating systems to deliver high-performance gaming experiences. You will work within an Agile framework, collaborating with global teams to drive firmware innovation. Key Responsibilities - Develop firmware on Microcontroller platforms such as STM32x with a strong focus on functionality, performance, and product quality - Handle sensor interfacing and implement drivers for UART, USB, WiFi, LCD, and touchscreen peripherals - Perform system-level debugging and work continuously to improve performance and reliability of embedded systems - Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed development teams throughout the firmware development lifecycle - Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development with a focus on firmware and Agile methodologies - Strong proficiency in C and Embedded C along with hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of microcontrollers - Solid expertise in microcontroller programming covering platforms such as STM32x, NRF5xx, and Ti CCx - Working knowledge of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, Flash, EEPROM, and WiFi - In-depth understanding of real-time control algorithms, data processing techniques, and performance optimisation - Experience with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS, QP/C, or Zephyr on low-power chipsets is preferred - Familiarity with power management techniques, USB protocol, Bluetooth, or other wireless communication standards is a plus - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline Why Join Us Logitech offers a flexible hybrid work environment that supports your personal and professional wellbeing, along with comprehensive benefits designed to help you thrive.
