Job Description

Role Overview Logitech is looking for a skilled Lead Firmware Engineer to join its Chennai team and take charge of designing and developing embedded software for cutting-edge Gaming Simulation products. This is a high-impact role where you will leverage your deep expertise in microcontrollers, sensors, and real-time operating systems to build innovative and high-performance gaming experiences. You will work closely with global development teams and follow Agile methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities - Lead firmware development on STM32x microcontroller platforms with a focus on functionality, performance, and software quality - Design and implement sensor interfacing and communication protocols including UART, USB, WiFi, LCD, and touch screen drivers - Perform system-level debugging and drive continuous improvements in performance and reliability - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed firmware development teams - Manage and contribute to Agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cycles Required Qualifications - 8 or more years of hands-on experience in embedded software development with a strong focus on firmware and Agile practices - Proficient in C and embedded C programming with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for microcontroller-based systems - Solid expertise in microcontroller programming across STM32x, NRF5xx, and TI CCx platforms - Working knowledge of communication protocols and drivers such as I2C, SPI, UART, Flash, EEPROM, and WiFi - Strong understanding of real-time control algorithms, data processing techniques, and performance optimization strategies - Experience with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, QP/C, or Zephyr on low-power chipsets is an added advantage - Familiarity with USB protocol, Bluetooth, or other wireless communication standards is preferred - Experience in power management techniques for microcontroller-based systems is a plus - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Why Join Us Logitech is a global brand built on authenticity, inclusion, and a genuine passion for innovation, making it a workplace where diverse perspectives are celebrated and every contribution matters. Requirements
