SAP FICO Testing Consultant - ECC to S4HANA Migration

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled SAP FICO Testing Consultant to lead and execute end-to-end testing strategies for an SAP ECC to S4HANA migration engagement. The ideal candidate brings deep functional knowledge of SAP Financials and Controlling along with hands-on experience across Brownfield, Greenfield, and Bluefield migration approaches. This is a contract-based opportunity based out of Bangalore or Mumbai for professionals with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts tailored specifically for ECC to S4HANA migration including data reconciliation, custom code remediation, and business process transformation - Perform System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Regression Testing across all FICO submodules - Validate S4HANA-specific simplifications such as Universal Journal and ACDOCA reconciliation, New Asset Accounting integration with GL, Customer Vendor Integration to Business Partner, Margin Analysis, Account-based and Costing-based COPA, and Material Ledger with actual costing - Ensure seamless data flow and process integration between FICO and other SAP modules in end-to-end scenarios like Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report - Execute pre- and post-migration financial data validation to ensure zero data loss and accurate financial balances - Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, and SAP Solution Manager while collaborating closely with developers and functional consultants - Maintain detailed test documentation, generate defect metrics, and facilitate UAT sessions with business stakeholders to obtain final sign-offs Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant or QA Tester - Must have participated in at least one or two full-lifecycle SAP ECC to S4HANA migration projects in a testing or functional capacity - Deep proficiency in FI modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, and BL as well as CO modules including CCA, PCA, IO, PC, and COPA - Strong understanding of SAP migration methodologies including System Conversion, New Implementation, and the SAP Activate framework - Proven expertise in Software Testing Life Cycle including test script creation, execution, and defect lifecycle management - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial scenarios to both technical and business audiences - Preferred experience with test automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft Certify, Qyrus, or SAP CBTA - Familiarity with SAP Fiori application testing and role-based authorizations is an added advantage - SAP Certified Application Associate in S4HANA Financial Accounting or Management Accounting, or ISTQB certification is preferred Why Join Us This role offers you the opportunity to be part of a high-impact SAP transformation engagement at one of India's leading IT services organizations. - 5 or more years of SAP FICO functional or QA testing experience - Hands-on involvement in at least one full-lifecycle ECC to S4HANA migration project - Deep knowledge of FI submodules such as GL, AP, AR, AA, and BL - Strong proficiency in CO submodules including CCA, PCA, IO, PC, and COPA - Experience in SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing - Knowledge of Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, CVI, Material Ledger, and COPA - Proficiency with defect management tools such as Jira, SAP Solution Manager, or Micro Focus ALM - Understanding of SAP Activate methodology and migration approaches - Strong communication skills for both technical and business stakeholder engagement - Experience with test automation tools like Tosca, Worksoft, or SAP CBTA is preferred - SAP S4HANA or ISTQB certification is preferred
