Role Overview
Orbit Verify is urgently hiring a driven and technically sound Sales Engineer to promote and sell Instrumentation, Sensors, and Industrial Measurement Solutions to clients across key industrial sectors in Chennai. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong engineering background combined with hands-on technical sales experience. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales cycle while building lasting relationships with OEMs, EPC companies, consultants, and end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for instrumentation and sensor-based solutions across industrial segments
- Generate qualified leads and manage the complete sales cycle from initial inquiry through to successful closure
- Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase measurement and monitoring solutions
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate instrumentation or sensor products
- Provide pre-sales technical support and coordinate closely with internal engineering teams
- Prepare accurate quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and tender documents
- Build and sustain strong relationships with OEMs, consultants, EPC firms, and end-user clients
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs
- Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- 3 to 5 or more years of experience in technical sales or business development in the instrumentation or industrial measurement domain
- Proven experience handling clients in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Instrumentation, Sensors, Data Acquisition Systems, or Condition Monitoring Solutions
- Familiarity with Noise, Vibration, or Structural Testing systems is an added advantage
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and open to travel for client meetings

Requirements
- BE or BTech in Mechanical, ECE, or EEE
- 3 to 5 plus years in technical sales or business development
- Experience with instrumentation, sensors, or industrial measurement solutions
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage the complete sales cycle independently
- Knowledge of Data Acquisition or Condition Monitoring Systems preferred
- Familiarity with industrial sectors like automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or energy
- Willingness to travel for client visits and meetings
- Self-motivated with a target-oriented approach
