Procurement Specialist

Role Overview EQ Retirement Solutions is a global leader in retirement and pensions administration, serving over 11 million pension scheme members across the world. We are currently seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team in Chennai and drive savings, value, and compliance across all procurement activities. Key Responsibilities - Manage and execute category-specific sourcing events including RFx activities and supplier selection - Deliver sourcing support to Procurement and business stakeholders across defined spend areas - Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business needs and Procurement frameworks - Oversee supplier onboarding, due diligence, and compliance processes - Conduct detailed cost modelling, benchmarking, and category analysis - Support commercial negotiations to achieve value-driven outcomes - Draft sourcing documentation including RFIs, RFPs, and evaluation tools - Maintain accurate data across procurement systems, reports, and sourcing pipelines - Support contract management activities such as renewals, extensions, and variations - Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and service levels - Engage with internal stakeholders to align procurement priorities with business objectives - Collaborate with Finance teams on savings tracking and commercial planning - Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and best practices Required Qualifications - Strong knowledge of procurement governance, compliance, and contract law - Proven experience managing sourcing activities and supplier performance - Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills - Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution capabilities - Commercial acumen with the ability to understand cost drivers and conduct financial analysis - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload effectively - Experience working with suppliers across multiple geographies is preferred - Understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements relevant to procurement - MCIPS qualification (completed or in progress) is preferred Why Join Us At EQ Retirement Solutions, you will be part of a collaborative, purpose-driven team that is making a genuine difference in the lives of millions of people planning for their financial future.
