Procurement Manager

We are hiring an experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing Procurement function based in Chennai. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end sourcing and tendering activities to achieve commercial, operational and strategic objectives - Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business priorities - Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, assess risk and ensure quality standards are maintained - Support contract negotiations, renewals, variations and ongoing governance processes - Provide commercial insight and market intelligence to inform decision-making across the business - Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policy, regulatory obligations and best practice frameworks - Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver optimal procurement outcomes - Drive savings, cost avoidance and value creation through strategic procurement initiatives - Oversee supplier onboarding processes and ensure all required controls are consistently met - Produce tender documentation and manage competitive procurement processes including RFx activities - Maintain accurate procurement records, contract registers and reporting data - Support continuous process improvement initiatives across procurement and supplier management functions Required Qualifications - Strong knowledge of procurement governance, compliance and contract law - Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management or end-to-end procurement delivery - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously - Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation capabilities - Proven track record in supplier performance management and risk management - Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial and contractual information - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to draw insights from procurement data - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience working in regulated environments is preferred - MCIPS qualification or active progress towards it is preferred Why Join Us At EQ Retirement Solutions, you will be part of a purpose-driven organisation making a meaningful difference to how people plan for their financial future.
