Procurement Operations Specialist

Role Overview IBM Finance and Operations is looking for a Procurement Operations Specialist to join its dynamic global team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will act as a single point of contact for IBM procurement professionals and suppliers worldwide, delivering support for procurement applications and accounts payable processes. You will be part of a team that drives operational efficiency and smart decision-making across IBM's global supply chain. Key Responsibilities - Handle inbound calls and emails from IBM internal clients and suppliers, providing professional and high-quality support for procurement-related queries - Identify root causes of system issues and either resolve them directly or escalate to Level 2 support with thorough documentation - Consult internal knowledge databases to address client questions accurately and efficiently - Create and maintain detailed call logs for every help request, capturing contact information and issue resolution notes - Follow up regularly with clients on the progress and resolution status of their open tickets - Apply working knowledge of procurement applications and accounts payable systems to resolve operational issues Required Qualifications - Familiarity with procurement tools, applications, and accounts payable systems - Understanding of the organizational structure and roles within global procurement functions - Exposure to call center operations and professional call handling protocols - Basic problem-solving ability with a structured approach to diagnosing and documenting system queries - Experience working with knowledge management databases for client query resolution Why Join Us IBM offers a culture of continuous learning, career growth, and inclusion where diverse perspectives are truly valued.
