Backend Developer

Role Overview IBM is looking for a Backend Developer to join our Storage systems team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, develop, unit test, and deliver offerings for IBM Storage products. You will work within an agile DevOps ecosystem to solve complex problems and ensure high system performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities - Design, write, debug, and test backend code using programming languages like Python and GoLang. - Unit test and deliver backend features for IBM Storage products using DevOps tooling. - Build and operate distributed systems, including replication strategies and consensus models. - Implement disaster recovery architectures, active-active configurations, and failover orchestration. - Support containerized workloads on platforms like Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes. - Drive reliability engineering using metrics, logging, tracing, and chaos engineering tools. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Exposure to programming in Python, GoLang, and scripting tools like Ansible. - Experience with storage protocols and technologies like Linux, Unix, NVMe, PCIe, and SCSI. - Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift. - Strong understanding of distributed systems, data protection, and disaster recovery.
