Role Overview Tesco Bengaluru is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our retail technology team. In this mid-level role, you will provide technical leadership for medium to large features, participate in their design, and take accountability for delivery. Key Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership in designing, implementing, and shipping medium to large end-to-end features. - Support, coach, and mentor junior engineers, assisting with their onboarding and technical development. - Contribute to codebase quality by performing constructive peer code reviews and maintaining Tesco architectural standards. - Propose, implement, and deliver solutions to challenges by understanding short-term and long-term product goals. - Utilize data-driven decision-making techniques to achieve optimal business outcomes. Required Qualifications - Proven professional experience in software development, typically around three to five years. - Strong skills in system design, programming, development lifecycle, and product methodologies. - Solid understanding of best practices in testing, deployment, and infrastructure. - Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
