Procurement Operations Specialist

Role Overview IBM Finance and Operations is looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Operations Specialist to join its Bengaluru team. In this role, you will act as a single point of contact for global procurement professionals and suppliers, providing end-to-end support for procurement applications, tools, and accounts payable processes. You will play a vital part in keeping IBM's procurement operations running smoothly while delivering high-quality service to internal clients across geographies. Key Responsibilities - Handle incoming calls and emails from IBM internal clients and suppliers, resolving queries related to procurement tools and processes with professionalism and accuracy - Document all help requests in a call log, ensuring contact details and issue descriptions are captured clearly and completely - Gather relevant problem information, generate problem reports, and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate Level 2 support contact with timely status updates to clients - Consult the internal knowledge database to guide responses and apply working knowledge of supported procurement applications to resolve issues efficiently - Demonstrate courteous and empathetic communication throughout all client interactions, maintaining IBM's high standards for call handling and service quality Required Qualifications - Familiarity with procurement tools, procurement applications, and accounts payable systems - Understanding of professional call centre practices including clear communication, problem determination, and conflict resolution - Basic knowledge of global procurement organisational structures and their relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers - Exposure to structured problem-solving techniques including issue documentation and escalation procedures - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to navigate knowledge management databases Why Join Us At IBM, you will be part of a global Finance and Operations team that drives efficiency and smart decision-making across one of the world's leading technology companies.
