Operator FTC

Role Overview Aptiv is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented FTC Operator to join its manufacturing team in Kochi, Kerala. The role involves working on the shop floor under the guidance of shift supervisors and the Head of Production to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality production output. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining process integrity, adhering to quality standards, and following all established work instructions and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities - Monitor and control process parameters to maintain product quality and product safety as per defined work instructions - Carry out production activities in accordance with shift in-charge instructions and comply with the delivery schedule - Perform setting, in-process inspection, loading, and unloading of tools and components - Execute fettling and post-moulding processes along with final visual and dimensional inspection of parts - Carry out packing processes and ensure proper identification and traceability of all parts - Apply controls outlined in FMEA, control plans, work instructions, and SOPs to prevent the production of non-conforming parts - Ensure accurate and complete filling of all shop floor documents relevant to the process - Adhere to contingency plans and escalate issues to shift supervisors as required - Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards on the shop floor at all times - Use all prescribed safety devices and follow safety guidelines without exception Required Qualifications - Basic understanding of manufacturing or production processes in an automotive or industrial environment - Ability to follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and control plans accurately - Familiarity with quality inspection techniques including visual and dimensional checks - Good attention to detail with a commitment to delivering defect-free output - Willingness to comply with ethical standards and the company code of conduct Why Join Us Aptiv is a global technology company that develops safer, greener, and more connected solutions for the automotive industry, offering employees a structured work environment with clear growth opportunities.
