Manager Operations

Role Overview Empower India, in association with Great West Global and Canada Life, is seeking a skilled and driven Operations Manager to join their growing team in Bengaluru. This is a mid-senior level full-time opportunity for a seasoned professional with strong expertise in Defined Contribution operations and transaction management. The role demands a hands-on leader who can collaborate with global stakeholders, drive team performance, and ensure seamless delivery of operational targets. Key Responsibilities - Interact with business partners and key stakeholders to address operational challenges and meet production schedules - Lead and coordinate the team to achieve short-term and long-term goals at both individual and team levels - Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions to support workforce development based on performance metrics - Plan and execute operations efficiently while minimising waste and meeting organisational milestones - Provide timely escalations for delays or issues and contribute inputs for team MIS reports - Initiate and participate in quality improvement processes including identifying opportunities, leading departmental initiatives, and documenting procedures - Monitor and manage special projects as required and participate in North American leadership calls when needed - Create and update standard operating procedures and checklists - Anticipate and resolve potential issues before they impact projects or business relationships - Demonstrate strong leadership qualities including commitment, diligence, decisiveness, and adaptability Required Qualifications - Degree from a recognised university - 7 to 10 years of total experience in Defined Contribution with at least 4 years in Transaction Operations - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of MS Access - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and verbal as well as written communication skills - Willingness to work in a US shift aligned to business requirements - Ability to manage conflict, adapt to change, and make sound decisions under pressure Why Join Us Empower India fosters a flexible and inclusive work culture that celebrates internal mobility and employee well-being, giving professionals the freedom to chart their own career paths. - 7 to 10 years of experience in Defined Contribution operations - Minimum 4 years in Transaction Operations - Degree from a recognised university - Intermediate Excel skills and basic MS Access knowledge - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships - Willingness to work in US shift timings - Experience in quality improvement and process documentation - Adaptable, detail-oriented, and decisive under pressure
