Manager - Consolidation

Role Overview This is an exciting opportunity with Pfizer, a global pharmaceutical leader, facilitated through myGwork, the largest LGBTQ+ inclusive business platform. The Manager - Consolidation role is based in Chennai and is ideal for a qualified finance professional with hands-on experience in multi-national accounting operations and financial reporting. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records that support the delivery of life-saving medicines worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss statements, and accounting schedules - Oversee and maintain company accounts and financial records in compliance with accounting and auditing policies - Update journals, ledgers, and financial transaction records while verifying data accuracy - Manage data entry activities within the accounting system and ensure timely month-end close processes - Engage with customers and business partners on complex financial and accounting deliverables - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley internal control documentation - Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support internal and external audits - Provide support for acquisitions or divestitures and participate in special projects - Review and informally coach junior colleagues to support their professional development Required Qualifications - Chartered Accountant (CA) with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience - Practical knowledge of IND AS, US GAAP, and Statutory Accounting standards - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English - Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Experience managing multi-national accounting operations Why Join Us Pfizer is a globally recognized equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, offering a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility and work-life balance. - Chartered Accountant (CA) with Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience - Practical experience with IND AS and US GAAP - Knowledge of Statutory Accounting and other GAAP frameworks - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Experience in multi-national accounting operations - Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
