Lead Associate AR - Accounts Receivable

Role Overview Guidehouse is looking for a skilled Lead Associate in Accounts Receivable to join its EBO AR team in Chennai. This role is ideal for professionals with solid experience in US Healthcare revenue cycle management who can handle end-to-end claim follow-up and resolution with accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities - Initiate outbound calls to insurance companies to check the status of pending claims in the aging queue - Contact payers to obtain detailed explanations for denied or underpaid claims and take corrective action to ensure timely resolution - Document all actions taken on claims accurately within the billing summary notes - Prioritise pending claims for follow-up based on aging bucket analysis - Conduct all calls in adherence to international standards including HIPAA compliance and confidentiality norms - Work on denials, rejections, and letters of adjustment, making necessary corrections to claims before resubmission - Adhere to the organisation's information security policies and report any security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities Required Qualifications - Graduate degree in any discipline - Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in the US Healthcare Accounts Receivable domain - Strong verbal communication skills with a professional phone manner - Excellent analytical ability with a thorough understanding of healthcare claims processing - Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet follow-up deadlines - Working knowledge of MS Office Suite is an added advantage Why Join Us Guidehouse offers a competitive total rewards package along with a flexible benefits structure that reflects its commitment to building a diverse and supportive work environment.
