Financial Analyst - GFS FP&A

Role Overview Amazon's Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join the Amazon Payments Finance team in Bengaluru. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where delivering exceptional customer experiences is the core focus. The selected candidate will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, reporting, and supporting strategic business decisions across the organisation. Key Responsibilities - Handle financial close activities including preparation of accruals and related reporting - Conduct monthly profit and loss analysis and produce accurate financial forecasts - Use advanced MS Excel functions and financial systems to manage and interpret large data sets - Perform headcount reporting, planning, and forecasting on a regular basis - Establish, measure, and monitor weekly KPI metrics for new and existing business initiatives - Assist in tracking and reporting progress on key business goals in a timely and accurate manner - Carry out ad-hoc financial modelling and business analysis as required - Provide data inputs for monthly and quarterly business review meetings - Identify opportunities to automate, standardise, and improve finance processes - Detect incomplete or inaccurate data, identify root causes, and collaborate on resolutions Required Qualifications - Chartered Accountant fresher or 1 or more years of experience in FP&A, book closing, and financial reporting - Demonstrated ability to use data effectively to influence business decisions - Strong financial acumen with sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities - Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Experience with VBA, COGNOS, or SQL is an added advantage - Prior exposure to the retail industry is preferred Why Join Us Amazon fosters an inclusive culture that empowers every team member to deliver their best work for customers worldwide.
