Finance & Project Controller

Role Overview ABB is seeking a Finance and Project Controller to join our Motion System Drives division in Nelamangala, Bangalore. In this onsite role, you will drive project controlling, financial analysis, budgeting, and closing activities under USGAAP and INGAAP guidelines. You will partner with Project Managers to monitor project performance, optimize cashflows, and mitigate financial and commercial risks. Key Responsibilities - Support the local Division Controller in monthly and quarterly book closing under USGAAP, INGAAP, and corporate guidelines - Collaborate with Tender Managers on financial, commercial, and risk review evaluations during bidding processes - Perform monthly revenue, cost, and profitability analysis across various product lines and report to management - Coordinate with statutory auditors, evaluating internal controls and implementing improvements - Review product and project financial performance (as sold vs. latest estimates) to optimize cash flow and margins - Manage project balance sheets, income statements, currency risk, tax issues, bonds, and bank guarantees - Lead financial risk assessments, cost-to-complete reviews, claim management, price variations, and insurance cases Required Qualifications - Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) qualification - 6-7 years of post-qualification experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and monthly closing - Solid experience in project and product financials, variance analysis, and management reporting - Hands-on experience with commercial contracts, risk reviews, and statutory audits - Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to partner with project managers and cross-functional teams - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Why Join Us At ABB, you will help industries run cleaner and leaner while building a smarter future.
