Role Overview
IBM is looking for an experienced Business Transformation Consultant with a specialisation in Procurement to help clients optimise their sourcing strategies and operational processes. In this role, you will work closely with organisations to evaluate their current procurement function and drive meaningful, data-backed transformation. You will serve as a trusted advisor, aligning procurement capabilities with broader business objectives and competitive market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the gap between a client's current procurement performance and their target future state, then build comprehensive transformation roadmaps to bridge those gaps
- Strengthen the strategic positioning of the procurement function within client organisations to drive long-term business value
- Partner with clients to evaluate and redesign their business strategies in response to evolving market conditions and competitive pressures
- Identify key organisational capabilities — spanning processes, technology, and knowledge management — that are critical to sustaining competitive advantage
- Apply data-driven analytical tools to uncover performance shortfalls and recommend targeted areas for procurement improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- 7 to 9 years of hands-on experience in procurement process optimisation, business strategy development, and data-driven performance analysis
- Solid understanding of how procurement transformation contributes to enterprise-wide business success
- Demonstrated experience identifying strategic capabilities across process, IT, and organisational enablement domains

Requirements
- 7-9 years of experience in procurement consulting or business transformation
- Proficiency in data-driven tools for performance gap analysis
- Experience with business strategy development and refinement
- Knowledge of strategic capability identification across process, IT, and organisational domains
- Familiarity with procurement process optimisation methodologies
- Exposure to procurement analytics tools such as spend analysis and contract management platforms
- Understanding of market research methodologies and competitive analysis
- Experience with business process modelling techniques
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
