Blade Reliability Engineer

Role Overview Nordex Group is looking for a skilled Blade Reliability Engineer to join its engineering team in Chennai. This is a mid-senior level, full-time role focused on ensuring the structural integrity and manufacturing reliability of wind turbine blades. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in composite materials and reliability engineering frameworks to drive continuous improvement across design and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities - Define and structure Design FMEAs specific to wind blade designs and composite technologies - Ensure adequate alignment between Design FMEAs and Process FMEAs, with integration into APQP 4 Wind and PEP processes - Provide actionable inputs to core engineering teams regarding manufacturing risks and mitigation strategies - Evaluate control plans and assess potential non-conformances in design and manufacturing parameters - Review design, manufacturing, and field-level conformance against engineering and process benchmarks - Initiate and drive improvements in measurement systems, tooling, jigs, and production equipment - Leverage Fibersim tool expertise to analyse composite structures and manufacturing workflows Required Qualifications - 6 to 15 years of hands-on experience in reliability engineering or a closely related role within the wind energy or composites industry - Strong working knowledge of Design FMEA and Process FMEA methodologies - Proficiency in Fibersim tool and composite materials engineering - Familiarity with wind blade design principles and manufacturing processes - Experience with Design for Reliability and Design for Manufacturing methods is a distinct advantage - Knowledge of Fibersim APIs is an added plus Why Join Us Nordex Group is a global leader in wind turbine manufacturing with a strong commitment to sustainable energy innovation.
