Banking Operations Associate

Role Overview Accenture is hiring a Banking Operations Associate to support core retail banking functions as part of its Intelligent Operations division. This is an entry-level full-time role based in Chennai, ideal for graduates with 1 to 3 years of experience in banking or financial services operations. You will be part of a team that helps global banking clients modernise their operations, improve productivity, and meet compliance standards. Key Responsibilities - Perform day-to-day retail banking account operations including account opening, KYC verification, and account maintenance - Process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments including SWIFT and EFT transfers - Handle account closure requests, deceased customer processing, and US legal order processing - Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal security standards - Resolve routine operational issues by following established guidelines and escalating when necessary - Collaborate with team members and report to supervisors on task progress and updates Required Qualifications - Any graduate degree from a recognised university - 1 to 3 years of experience in banking operations or a related field - Intermediate proficiency in English (domestic communication) - Ability to work in rotational shifts as required - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality - Adaptable, collaborative, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us Accenture is a globally recognised professional services leader operating across more than 120 countries with a workforce of over 784,000 professionals.
