Associate Finance Controller - ATR

Role Overview A.P. Moller - Maersk is looking for an Associate Finance Controller to join its Financial Control and Reporting function in Chennai. This role sits within the Account to Report stream and is suited for a finance professional who takes pride in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data. You will work within defined boundaries while contributing to timely financial reporting and supporting senior stakeholders with meaningful analysis. Key Responsibilities - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information through robust internal control procedures - Consolidate financial data and prepare timely, accurate reports including profit and loss accounts, financial statements, and working capital analysis - Conduct financial modelling and analyse costs, revenues, expenses, rates of return, and other key financial metrics - Monitor and assess external economic conditions and evaluate their impact on business performance - Support senior finance professionals on complex tasks and mentor less experienced colleagues as needed - Identify solutions by selecting from known alternatives within your area of expertise Required Qualifications - Prior work experience in a finance or accounting related role, or advanced academic background in finance, accounting, or a related discipline - Sound knowledge of financial control procedures, reporting standards, and practical accounting methods - Ability to work independently on routine tasks while seeking guidance on more complex assignments - Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of financial data - Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams Why Join Us Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics and offers a truly inclusive and diverse work environment where every colleague is valued.
