Implementation Manager - Training Management Services

Role Overview Maersk Training is seeking a commercially driven and client-focused Implementation Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of Training Management Services (TMS) solutions for major global clients. Based in Chennai, this role serves as the critical link between clients and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth onboarding, structured implementation, and successful long-term adoption of TMS platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in project management, client engagement, and digital solution delivery across complex global environments. Key Responsibilities - Lead full-cycle implementation of TMS solutions for key global enterprise clients - Serve as the primary client-facing representative through onboarding and go-live phases - Convert client business requirements into detailed project plans, milestones, and deliverables - Align client expectations with internal operational, digital, and training delivery functions - Drive project governance covering scope control, risk mitigation, and deadline management - Facilitate customer workshops, steering committee meetings, and executive-level reviews - Deliver clear implementation progress reports and performance updates to client and internal stakeholders - Identify opportunities for process improvement, digital enablement, and scalable delivery models - Collaborate with digital development teams to continuously enhance client-facing TMS products and marketplace solutions Required Qualifications - 10 to 12 or more years of professional experience in project implementation, client engagement, or management consulting - Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects in a global setting - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer needs and business goals - Excellent stakeholder management skills across senior client and internal leadership levels - Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive accountability without direct line authority - Experience with digital platforms, SaaS solutions, or managed service implementations is a strong advantage - Masters degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation capabilities - Structured, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer outcomes Why Join Us At Maersk, you will be part of a globally respected organisation that values diversity, inclusion, and innovation in everything it does.
