Role Overview
Bajaj Finance Limited is looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to join their Collections team at the Chennai Anna Salai branch. This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates with six months to three years of experience in collections or financial services. The role plays a vital part in managing delinquent portfolios and ensuring healthy recovery outcomes across assigned products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage delinquent accounts effectively to drive business profitability and improve collection efficiencies across all assigned products
- Maintain adequate follow-up intensity on all overdue accounts and ensure timely resolution within monthly PI targets
- Review the location-level portfolio regularly to identify early stress signals and potential risk accounts
- Document all collection activities thoroughly through proper Collection Trail entries
- Ensure full compliance with collections processes and risk governance mandates at the branch level
- Coordinate with legal and law enforcement agencies for expedited recovery actions
- Provide actionable feedback on the performance of implemented collections strategies
- Optimise resource utilisation by tracking visit counts, contact rates, PTP conversion ratios, and settlement processes in line with approved guidelines
- Ensure zero delays in cash turnaround time and timely MIS reporting
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in any discipline
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word
- Six months to three years of relevant experience in collections, recovery, or financial services
