Area Technical Manager

Role Overview Indium Corporation, a globally recognised materials refiner, manufacturer, and supplier to the electronics, semiconductor, and thermal management sectors, is looking for an Area Technical Manager (ATM) to join their team in Chennai. This is a mid-senior level, full-time role focused on delivering technical support for sales activities and ensuring high-quality service across an assigned territory. The ATM will play a pivotal role in strengthening customer relationships, driving business growth, and representing the company as a technical authority in the region. Key Responsibilities - Provide expert technical support to customers through product and process recommendations, troubleshooting, on-site evaluations, and product qualifications - Serve as a technical spokesperson by educating and training customers, distributors, and internal teams - Gather and relay customer feedback on technical requirements and market trends to support continuous improvement - Identify, plan, and execute technical programs that align with Indium Corporation's business objectives and encourage innovation - Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, manufacturing, R&D, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless program execution - Participate in technical strategic planning and support regional business and marketing initiatives - Prepare technical reports, presentations, blogs, and documentation of experimental findings - Build and maintain a strong professional network that reinforces the company's reputation as an industry technical leader - Undertake frequent travel within the region (25% to 50% of working time) at short notice as required Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience in a process engineering role within a semiconductor or SMT (Surface Mount Technology) environment - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field - Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills in English - Proficiency in Thai language communication is also required for this role - Sound knowledge of SPC methodologies, troubleshooting techniques, and 8D reporting - Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team - Strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of customer and supplier relationship management - Self-motivated, stress-resilient, and enthusiastic about resolving customer challenges Why Join Us Indium Corporation is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace where every individual is valued.
