Role Overview Jaya Network, one of Chennai's leading Tamil satellite television networks operating channels such as Jaya TV, Jaya Plus, Jaya Max, and J Movies, is looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to join its production team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is central to delivering high-quality broadcast and digital content for Tamil-speaking audiences across India and the global Tamil diaspora. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced broadcast environment where your edits directly shape the viewing experience of millions. Key Responsibilities - Assemble raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready segments for television and digital platforms while maintaining narrative clarity, pacing, and visual consistency - Select and trim clips, add transitions, titles, lower thirds, and graphics, and apply professional color grading and correction - Sync audio tracks and ensure all content adheres to technical broadcast standards and Jaya Network brand guidelines - Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and graphic designers to interpret creative briefs, refine storyboards, and deliver finalized content within strict deadlines - Organize and maintain a structured media asset library and contribute creative ideas to elevate overall programming quality Required Qualifications - Proven experience in non-linear video editing with strong timeline management and visual storytelling skills - Hands-on knowledge of video production workflows including camera formats, codecs, and studio or on-set processes - Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects - Demonstrated ability in color grading and motion graphics creation including visual effects and title sequences - Strong sense of timing, music, and audio synchronization with meticulous attention to detail and quality control - Diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related discipline with prior experience in television or digital media editing preferred - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight broadcast deadlines while working effectively with cross-functional teams Why Join Us Jaya Network offers a unique opportunity to contribute to culturally significant content that reaches Tamil-speaking communities across India and around the world.
