Role Overview Jaya Network, one of Chennai's leading Tamil satellite television networks operating channels such as Jaya TV, Jaya Plus, Jaya Max, and J Movies, is looking for a skilled and passionate Video Editor to join its creative team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-quality content viewed by Tamil-speaking audiences across India and worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Assemble raw footage into polished, broadcast-ready segments for television and digital platforms while maintaining narrative clarity and visual consistency - Select, trim, and sequence clips with appropriate transitions, titles, lower thirds, and graphic elements to match the creative brief - Apply color correction and color grading techniques to enhance visual mood and ensure consistency across all content - Sync audio tracks, background scores, and voiceovers with precision, maintaining broadcast-quality sound standards - Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and graphic designers to interpret creative briefs and refine storyboards within set deadlines - Organize and manage media assets, maintain version control, and ensure all deliverables comply with technical and brand guidelines - Contribute original creative ideas to continuously improve the production quality of Jaya Network's programming Required Qualifications - Proven experience in non-linear video editing with strong timeline management and visual storytelling skills - Hands-on experience in video production workflows including camera formats, codecs, and studio or on-set processes - Proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or equivalent tools - Solid understanding of color grading principles using industry-standard applications - Ability to create and integrate motion graphics elements including titles, lower thirds, and visual effects - Strong sense of timing, pacing, and audio synchronization with a meticulous approach to quality control - Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related discipline; prior experience in television or digital media editing is preferred - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a collaborative, cross-functional environment Why Join Us Jaya Network offers a dynamic and creative workplace where your work directly impacts millions of Tamil-speaking viewers across India and the global diaspora.
