THT Manual Soldering Technician

Role Overview KSK Technology is looking for a skilled THT Manual Soldering Technician to join their electronics manufacturing team in Chennai. The role involves performing high-quality Through-Hole Technology soldering of electronic components in compliance with IPC standards and customer specifications. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity suited for candidates with a solid foundation in PCB assembly and manual soldering. Key Responsibilities - Perform THT manual soldering of electronic components following IPC standards and customer-specific requirements - Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, work instructions, and engineering documents - Assemble, solder, and rework printed circuit boards with precision and strict attention to detail - Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and compliance requirements - Identify, document, and report soldering defects, component issues, and process deviations promptly - Carry out component insertion, lead forming, trimming, and other manual assembly tasks - Operate hand soldering tools, desoldering equipment, and inspection instruments safely - Support functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies as needed - Maintain ESD control procedures and adhere to all workplace safety regulations - Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of electronic components and materials - Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production schedules - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost product quality and process efficiency - Maintain accurate production records and complete all assigned documentation - Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with 5S manufacturing standards - Support training and mentoring of new assembly operators when required Required Qualifications - Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in THT manual soldering and electronics assembly - Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards is a strong advantage - Ability to identify and correct soldering defects independently - Familiarity with electronic components, PCB assembly processes, and production environments - Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality output - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting - Soldering certification or electronics manufacturing certification is preferred Why Join Us KSK Technology offers a structured and quality-driven manufacturing environment where skilled technicians can grow their expertise in electronics assembly.
