Role Overview
IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Teller for its Retail Banking division. This is a full-time opportunity for candidates who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and handling banking operations at the branch level. As a Teller, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring smooth daily transactions while representing the bank with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers courteously and assist them with their banking needs in a professional manner
- Process daily banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments with speed and accuracy
- Maintain and reconcile cash drawers and ensure precise record-keeping for all transactions
- Promote and cross-sell the bank's products and services to walk-in customers
- Address customer queries and handle complaints in a prompt and effective manner
- Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, procedures, and security protocols
- Collaborate with branch team members to achieve branch targets and maintain service standards
- Support branch operations during high-traffic or peak hours
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
- 0 to 4 years of experience in customer service or cash handling roles
- Prior exposure to banking or financial services is an added advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer-facing abilities
- Basic proficiency in computer applications and data entry
- High attention to detail and accuracy in transactional work
- Willingness to undergo background verification and credit checks
