Technical Program Manager

Role Overview Ford Motor Company is looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager to join its Chennai team. This role serves as the critical bridge between business requirements, complex data ecosystems, and AI-driven analytical solutions. You will manage the complete product lifecycle from strategic problem definition and backlog grooming through to technical delivery and production deployment, collaborating with Product Owners, data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to deliver high-impact data products. Key Responsibilities - Strategically coordinate with senior stakeholders and leadership to develop end-to-end product development and maintenance plans that ensure high-quality, on-time launches - Manage comprehensive plans for complex technical projects covering data acquisition, engineering, modelling, and visualization - Drive software tool adoption and oversee end-to-end delivery including CI/CD pipelines and production launches - Deep dive into complex technical issues to identify root causes, evaluate trade-offs, and propose strategic solutions while proactively managing risks - Collaborate with Data Scientists to develop and deliver analytical products leveraging Generative AI, LLM models, machine learning, and statistical analysis - Work with large, complex datasets using Python, SQL, Google Cloud Services, and Hadoop - Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies and champion organization-wide Jira standards including automation, backlog grooming, and dependency management - Author and maintain robust project documentation including PRDs, technical roadmaps, dependency maps, and change control audit trails - Serve as the primary technical contact for cross-functional and external project communications, translating complex concepts for diverse audiences from engineers to senior executives - Mentor junior team members in agile facilitation and effective collaboration practices Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline - 5 or more years of experience in program or product management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall - 2 or more years of experience using Jira for complex project tracking, reporting, and dependency management - Familiarity with BigQuery, SQL, and visualization tools such as PowerBI or Looker - Conceptual knowledge of predictive analytics techniques including regression, classification, clustering, and tree-based algorithms - Conceptual understanding of NLP, forecasting algorithms, and deep learning - Proven experience leading backlog grooming for complex technical products - Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Architectural understanding of data ecosystems, integration points, and scalability needs Why Join Us Ford Motor Company offers a dynamic, innovative environment where you will directly influence business outcomes and technical direction at a global automotive leader. - 5+ years in program or product management using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall - 2+ years of hands-on Jira experience for complex tracking and dependency management - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Services - Experience working with large and complex datasets using Hadoop and BigQuery - Knowledge of machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics techniques - Familiarity with Generative AI and LLM model delivery - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as SonarQube, GitHub Copilot, FOSSA, or Cycode - Proficiency in data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker - Strong communication skills with ability to present to senior executives and engineering teams - Preferred: 3+ years managing cloud-native AI, analytics, or big data products - Preferred: Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry
