Team Lead - Commercial Contracts

Role Overview Inizio Ignite is looking for an experienced Team Lead in Commercial Contracts to join its India operations in Gurugram. This is a hybrid role where you will serve as a key business partner to one of the company's Business Units while also managing and mentoring junior contract analysts. You will report to a Commercial Affairs Manager or Director and play a central role in maintaining contract quality, client relationships, and operational efficiency across time zones. Key Responsibilities - Partner with internal business units and stakeholders to ensure smooth contract operations and provide regular status updates - Draft, review, and finalize client contracts in collaboration with legal and agency teams, ensuring timely turnaround - Manage the full contract lifecycle using the HighQ contract management system and keep the contracts repository current - Handle multiple contracts and amendments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality standards - Track and improve contract-related metrics to demonstrate strong customer service performance - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, and the Commercial Affairs team in India - Analyze complex information to identify problems and present well-reasoned solutions to management - Suggest and implement process improvements that enhance contract quality and reduce turnaround times - Provide training, mentoring, and problem-solving support to junior Contract Analysts and Associates, especially when offshore managers are offline due to time zone differences - Understand the key operational and financial drivers of the assigned Business Unit Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline - Proven experience in a commercial affairs or contracts management role - Prior exposure to the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred - People management or team leadership experience - Strong understanding of contract language, terms, and commercial standards - Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills - Sharp attention to detail with the ability to analyze information and uphold quality standards - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities Why Join Us At Inizio, you will be part of a global team of over 11,700 professionals working with the world's leading health and life sciences organizations, contributing to meaningful work that transforms healthcare and improves millions of lives. - Proven experience in commercial contracts or commercial affairs - Background in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry preferred - People management or team leadership experience - Strong understanding of contract language and commercial standards - Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills - Proficiency with contract lifecycle management tools such as HighQ - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Bachelor's degree or above - Comfortable working across time zones in a hybrid setup
