Team Lead - Commercial Contracts

Role Overview Inizio is looking for a skilled and experienced Team Lead in Commercial Contracts to join its growing India office in Gurugram. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of client contracts while acting as a key business partner to one of Inizio's dedicated Business Units. Reporting to a Commercial Affairs Manager or Director, you will work at the intersection of legal, commercial, and operational functions across a global life sciences and healthcare consulting organisation. Key Responsibilities - Partner with internal stakeholders across business units to foster strong working relationships and provide regular contract status updates - Collaborate with legal and agency teams to draft, review, negotiate, and finalise client contracts in a timely and accurate manner - Manage the complete contract lifecycle using the HighQ contract management system and ensure the contracts repository remains current and accurate - Handle multiple contracts and amendments simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting commercial standards - Track, analyse, and improve contract-related metrics to demonstrate high levels of customer service - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, and the Commercial Affairs team based in India - Identify problems, analyse relevant information, and present well-reasoned solutions to management - Suggest and implement process improvements that enhance contract quality and reduce turnaround times - Provide mentoring, training, and day-to-day support to junior Contract Analysts and Associates, especially when senior managers are offline due to time zone differences Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree as a minimum educational qualification - Proven experience in a commercial affairs or contract management role - Background or exposure to the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred - Demonstrated people management experience - Strong understanding of contract language and commercial terms - Excellent organisational, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills - Sharp attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards under pressure - Good analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment Why Join Us At Inizio, you will be part of a global team of over 11,700 professionals working with the world's leading health and life sciences companies, with real opportunities to grow your career across multiple functions and geographies.
