Tax Engine Business Analyst Senior

Role Overview EY's GDS Tax Technology team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Tax Technology practice. This role involves developing and implementing technology solutions that serve clients and engagement teams while building deep tax technical knowledge combined with database, data analytics and programming expertise. You will work alongside partners, clients and tax subject matter experts to create technology solutions that enhance value and improve operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities - Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats - Design new computer programs by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts, wireframes and diagrams, and writing detailed specifications - Communicate effectively with senior leaders on program strategies, plans and negotiate quality solutions - Define project requirements by identifying milestones, phases, elements and establishing project budgets - Create epics, user stories and tasks for development teams - Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving problems and recommending corrective actions - Handle changing requirements and perform comprehensive gap analysis - Review QA test cases and perform functional and UAT testing - Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends - Maintain user documentation and provide training and help desk support Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent - Master's degree such as MBA or MCA preferred - 5 or more years of experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst - Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills - Strong proficiency with Balsamiq, Access, Excel Advanced, Word, Visio, Jira, TFS and MS Project - Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology, Scrum Master practices and project management - Thorough knowledge of Tax or Finance domain preferred - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Ability to work effectively with both internal and client team members Why Join Us Join EY's market-leading, multi-disciplinary team of 1400+ professionals in the only integrated global transaction business.
