SAP SD Staff Consultant - TechOps Application Management

Role Overview EY Global Delivery Services is hiring an SAP SD Staff Consultant to join its TechOps Application Management team in Chennai. In this role, you will deliver functional support for SAP Order to Cash processes across multiple regions, working with Fortune 500 clients to ensure stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of their SAP environments. You will operate with growing autonomy, resolve incidents independently, support junior team members, and contribute to a globally connected delivery network of over 80,000 professionals. Key Responsibilities - Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application management support for SAP SD modules, covering incident management, service requests, change requests, and problem management - Analyze and resolve incidents raised by end users, minimising disruption to business operations and ensuring timely follow-up - Collaborate with cross-functional and offshore or onsite teams to gather requirements, assess business needs, and deliver optimised SAP SD solutions - Handle defect resolution and defect analysis related to the SD module and document findings clearly - Develop and maintain configuration documentation, user guides, and test scripts to support ongoing operations - Stay updated on SAP best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to drive automation and operational efficiency - Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as required to maintain availability of critical SAP systems - Identify and communicate risks within engagements to senior team members in a timely manner Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field, or equivalent work experience - 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP SD, preferably supporting global clients - Strong understanding of the Order to Cash process including inquiry, quotation, sales order creation, availability check, delivery, goods issue, invoicing, and payment - Experience with SAP SD integration points with FI, MM, PP, and PM modules - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a time-sensitive environment - Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to critical business requirements outside standard hours - SAP SD certification is an added advantage Why Join Us At EY, you will be part of a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team with access to world-class learning, mentorship, and career development opportunities in a diverse and inclusive global environment.
