Specialist Software Technology Lead Developer

Role Overview KLA, a global leader in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing technologies, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Developer to join its LS-SWIFT Division in Chennai. In this role, you will design and build infrastructure that orchestrates software deployment across various workloads in a cluster while managing multiple simultaneous software instances. You will play a pivotal part in guiding the development team, mentoring junior developers, and driving cutting-edge solutions in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. Key Responsibilities - Design, recommend, and implement software solutions using the most suitable and modern technologies available - Lead design and code review sessions with the team and deliver actionable feedback aligned with best practices including testability, efficiency, and coding standards - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project goals, requirements, and delivery timelines - Develop software to deploy various components across multiple nodes and manage side-by-side software instances - Identify potential technical risks early and formulate strategies to address them proactively - Triage, track, and debug software issues to identify root causes and resolve them with quick turnaround - Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge bases to support quality teams, customer support, and global service teams - Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and engineering best practices Required Qualifications - Strong object-oriented programming skills in C# or Java - Extensive knowledge of Inter-Process Communication techniques and tools including WCF, gRPC, REST, GraphQL, protobuf, and JSON - Hands-on experience with container orchestration and management tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts - Familiarity with database management systems including SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB, Prometheus, and InfluxDB - Experience with observability tools and practices such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elastic, Kibana, and Logstash - Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, and Ansible for automation - Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills - Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience Why Join Us KLA invests over 15 percent of its sales revenue back into research and development, making it one of the most innovation-focused companies in the semiconductor industry.
