Software Tech Lead

Role Overview KLA is a globally recognised leader in diversified electronics and semiconductor manufacturing technologies, powering virtually every electronic device in the world. The LS-SWIFT Division within KLA's Global Products Group is seeking a skilled Software Tech Lead to join their Chennai team and contribute to cutting-edge wafer inspection systems used by leading semiconductor fabs across the globe. Key Responsibilities - Design, recommend, and implement software solutions using the most suitable and up-to-date technologies available - Lead design and code review sessions with the team, providing clear and actionable feedback aligned with best practices including testability, efficiency, and coding standards - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project goals, requirements, and delivery timelines - Develop and deploy software components across multiple nodes while managing concurrent software instances - Identify potential technical risks early in the development cycle and build strategies to address them proactively - Triage, debug, and resolve software issues efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on overall system quality - Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge bases that support quality teams, customer support, and global service operations - Stay current with emerging industry technologies, trends, and engineering best practices Required Qualifications - Strong object-oriented programming skills in C# or Java - Extensive knowledge of Inter-Process Communication techniques including WCF, gRPC, REST, GraphQL, protobuf, and JSON - Hands-on experience with container orchestration and management tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts - Familiarity with observability tools and practices including OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elastic, Kibana, and Logstash - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and Ansible for automation - Desirable experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, SQLite), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and time series databases (Prometheus, InfluxDB) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience Why Join Us At KLA, you will work alongside world-class engineers and scientists on technologies that are shaping the future of semiconductors and electronics.
