Software Engineer

Role Overview KLA is a global leader in semiconductor process control and diversified electronics manufacturing, powering virtually every electronic device in the world. As a Software Engineer within the Surfscan group under KLA's Global Products Group, you will be part of a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting industry-leading wafer inspection and metrology products. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge semiconductor inspection technology that directly impacts chip yield and quality at leading fabs worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Develop and enhance software using C++, VC++, C#, and WPF on Windows platforms for Surfscan inspection products - Understand the NGS architecture and product functionalities to translate stakeholder requirements into effective software solutions - Design and implement features that generate actionable metrics from instrument-collected data - Provide timely support for customer issues and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive issues to resolution - Adhere to established development processes, best known methods, and engineering standards Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent field (Master's degree preferred) - 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience, preferably in a product-based company - Strong proficiency in VC++, C#, WPF, and SQL Server in Windows 32/64-bit programming environments - Solid understanding of UML, OOP, and OOD methodologies - Experience in user interface design and implementation - Good debugging skills and strong problem analysis and solving abilities - Networking and hardware knowledge is essential - Strong communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills - Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision - Knowledge of distributed, cross-platform (Windows-Linux) applications is a plus - Semiconductor domain experience is an added advantage Why Join Us KLA invests more than 15% of its annual sales back into research and development, making it one of the most innovation-driven employers in the semiconductor industry.
