ServiceNow CMDB Specialist

Role Overview Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Specialist to join their IT Infrastructure team in Hyderabad. The role involves managing and optimising the ServiceNow Discovery Application and Configuration Management Database in a large enterprise environment. This is a full-time, permanent position open to professionals with 4 to 15 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities - Configure, maintain, and monitor the ServiceNow Discovery Application to ensure accurate and up-to-date CMDB population - Coordinate with Compute, Network, and Security teams to establish proper access and permissions for discovery processes - Identify and resolve discovery errors related to permissions, access issues, and scheduled job failures - Support validation and testing of the Discovery module following platform upgrades and patches - Review the IT environment regularly to identify changes and new requirements that may impact the Discovery solution - Manage monthly downloads from the ServiceNow Store for CMDB Classes and Discovery patterns - Add and maintain schedules, IP ranges, and credentials for new devices and environments - Integrate third-party discovery tools such as Logic Monitor with the ServiceNow platform - Provide timely resolution to infrastructure and systems-related issues - Build and sustain effective working relationships with internal departments, vendors, and management Required Qualifications - 4 to 15 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or ServiceNow-related roles - Strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, and CMDB integrations - Solid understanding of Configuration Management principles and practices - Experience working with cross-functional IT teams including network, compute, and security - Any graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognised institution Why Join Us TCS is one of India's most reputed technology companies, offering a dynamic work environment with opportunities to grow across global projects and cutting-edge technologies.
