Google Cloud Account Recovery Specialist

Role Overview Tata Consultancy Services is hiring an Account Recovery Specialist to join its Service Desk and Managed Services division in Chennai. This is a Tier 2 High-Trust Support role focused on the secure and compliant recovery of Google and GCP accounts. The position demands exceptional judgment, strict adherence to security and privacy protocols, and empathetic communication with customers during high-impact situations. Key Responsibilities - Own Google Account and GCP Account Recovery cases from initiation to resolution - Validate identity, authorization, and domain ownership using approved verification frameworks - Execute account recovery workflows with zero tolerance for policy deviation - Detect, assess, and mitigate fraud, social engineering, and unauthorized access attempts - Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation of all recovery actions taken - Escalate high-risk or non-standard cases to the appropriate teams in a timely manner - Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers during critical account incidents - Adhere to authentication standards, service level objectives, and security policies at all times Required Qualifications - 2 to 3 years of experience in account recovery, account security, or an equivalent high-trust support role - Strong knowledge of GCP admin roles, GCP Admin Console, domain ownership, and recovery workflows - Bachelor's degree in Science or an equivalent discipline - Mandatory certification: Associate Google Workspace Administrator - English language proficiency at CEFR B2 level or above - Completion of 15 years of full-time education - High-judgment decision-making ability under ambiguous and time-sensitive conditions - Proven fraud detection and prevention capabilities Why Join Us TCS is a globally recognized technology leader that offers an environment where young tech professionals can grow rapidly and make a meaningful impact.
